    This place is so colorful, quirky and inviting, like an unexpected slice of Tokyo hidden like a gem in Pleasant Hill! The food is fresh and delicious and the staff is so warm and welcoming. This is definitely going to be our new go-to spot! I loved all the special rolls we ordered, the Teriyaki chicken was succulent, and for dessert, we got melon ice creams, which I had never heard of, but am now obsessed with!

    Sushi restaurants can sometimes be a little sterile and depressing, but not here. Jo the owner really curates an awesome vibe, and the food is excellently prepared by him behind the sushi counter. He's a kind soul with a generous spirit and we've had great meals here. We love the Hamachi Kama and the rolls and sashimi platter are huge. Definitely the most interesting Sushi spot in the area.

    This has to be the biggest piece of Toro I've ever eaten! That's why I keep coming back. Joe Honda sushi is the best!

    Some of the best sushi in the East Bay Area, fish is very fresh and the use of ponzu in the rolls elevates to the next level. Lunch bento boxes are reasonably priced and very large portions with amazing quality food! We were also given complementary plates of coconut shrimp and gyoza. Hours are limited however if you are able to make it before closing Honda Sushi is a must go spot!
